
Moderate red wine drinkers have better gut health, lower levels of obesity and lower degrees of “bad” cholesterol than non-drinkers, according to a new study. Researchers found that downing the odd glass of red actually improves our health in the gut. Scientists from King’s College London discovered that people who drank red wine had an increased gut “microbiota diversity” – a sign of gut health.
