
A bionic hand that can be taught what to do by the brain, move objects and even sense when they are about to slip from grasp could give amputees amazing dexterity. The prosthetic mitt combines human and robotic control in a scientific first. It has already been successfully tested by three amputees and seven able-bodied people.
