
GP surgeries are in danger of becoming overwhelmed with demand on services as they struggle to tackle the backlog of non-COVID patients while also caring for the survivors of the virus. The Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland, which represents around 5,000 doctors, said there was an urgent need for clinical guidance to address the increased number of people suffering from long COVID.
