THE NEW Indian variant of coronavirus, also known as the Delta variant, is thought to be 40 percent more transmissible than previous mutations, sparking fears that the Government may be forced to delay the full easing of restrictions on June 21. Speaking on the BBC, Paul Hunter, professor in medicine at the University of East Anglia, commented on the unfolding situation.
