MARY BERRY, or Dame Mary Berry, was appointed in October of this year, for her services to broadcasting, the arts and of course for her culinary contributions. The star became an even more beloved national treasure when she revealed that she was celebrating becoming a Dame Commander with a simple sandwich. But, the 86-year-old was lucky to attend the ceremony after a catastrophic incident saw her end up in hospital.
